The small Cypriot leather manufacturer Rock n Roll Camera Straps and Bags, under the direction of the Greek director and professional photographer Evris Papanikolas, specializes in unusual camera straps made of black leather of the highest quality, handcrafted by professional bag makers and belt makers with great attention to detail.
The camera shoulder strap for Leica SL model Hendrix comes with a clear, angular design language, visually perfectly suited to Leica cameras. In this longer version, elements cut by artisans from the best Italian full-grain leather are joined together to form a "chain" in a process lasting over an hour and hand-stitched using hard-wearing, waxed saddlery thread. The result is a very robust, yet extremely flexible and supple camera strap made from black leather. However, the construction of the camera shoulder strap for Leica SL is not only purely design-related, it also has a very useful side effect. The individual leather elements ensure that the black leather camera strap absorbs sudden shocks or weight loads, similar to a shock absorber, making even heavier camera Lens combinations more relaxed to carry. Two X-shaped middle pieces additionally stabilize the camera shoulder strap for Leica SL.

This camera strap was specially designed for the wider flat eyelets of the Leica SL2, SL and S, so that the strap connection cannot slip back and forth. Please bear this in mind if you wish to attach the Design Camera Strap to a different camera.
